BRIEF: Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns preview

Jan. 25--The Clippers will play at Phoenix against the Suns on Sunday in the first leg of a back-to-back, before returning to Staples Center to host the Denver Nuggets on Monday.

The Clippers (29-14) are in sixth place in the Western Conference, four games ahead of the eighth-place Suns (26-19).

When the teams played Dec. 8, Blake Griffin made a three-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to give the Clippers a 121-120 win. In that game, Griffin finished with 45 points on 14 for 24 shooting and eight rebounds.

The Clippers have won both of their meetings against the Suns so far this season after winning their final three games against them last season. In those five wins, Griffin has averaged 29.2 points and shot 60% from the field.

The Clippers have won three games in a row and four of their last five. Before losing to the Houston Rockets on Friday, the Suns had won four in a row and eight of their last 10.

After this back-to-back, the Clippers go on the road for an eight-game trip.
