BRIEF: Clemson gets two weeks off before facing Notre Dame

Sept. 21--Thanks to a scheduling quirk, Notre Dame's Oct. 3 opponent, Clemson, will have had two consecutive Saturdays off before the teams meet in South Carolina.

The No. 11 Tigers defeated Louisville 20-17 on Thursday night and don't play again until the sixth-ranked Irish come to town for what will be a 7 p.m. (CT) kickoff on ABC, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday.

It will mark the second of four scheduled primetime games for the Irish, who will play host to USC at 6:30 Oct. 17 and face Boston College at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at Fenway Park.

Times for Notre Dame's road games against Temple (Oct. 31), Pittsburgh (Nov. 7) and Stanford (Nov. 28) have not been announced.

The Irish, who defeated Georgia Tech 30-22 last weekend, will play UMass at Notre Dame Stadium at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
