Dec. 09--Claire Danes will be the guest of honor at this year's Women in the Arts fundraiser, Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced Wednesday. Danes will speak about her experiences navigating a career in film and television.
Danes, a four-time Golden Globe winner, currently stars in "Homeland" with ensemble member Tracy Letts. This morning, she was again nominated for a SAG Award for her performance in the Showtime drama.
Danes joins a group of past honorees including ensemble members Joan Allen, Laurie Metcalf and Martha Plimpton, as well as Juliette Lewis, Julianna Margulies, Margo Martindale, Julianne Nicholson and Mary-Louise Parker.
The event will be held Feb. 4 in Chicago, at a location yet to be announced.
