BRIEF: Christopher Mannelli to depart Victory Gardens as managing director

Jan. 06--Christopher Mannelli will join Rochester's Geva Theatre Center as executive director and partner with artistic director Mark Cuddy as co-C.E.O. of the company, chair of the board of trustees Joanna Grosodonia announced Wednesday. Geva Theatre Center is the most attended regional theater in New York.

Mannelli is currently managing director of Victory Gardens Theater, where he has led the reorganization of the company and helped in creating the theater's new business model over the last five years.

In Chicago, Mannelli has served as deputy director at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and presently serves on the board of directors of the League of Chicago Theatres. Mannelli will remain at Victory Gardens through Feb. 26. Victory Gardens Theater has begun a nationwide search for Mannelli's successor.
