BRIEF: Chris Paul Family Foundation to open refurbished Boys Girls Club

March 30--The Chris Paul Family Foundation will help open a newly refurbished Boys Girls Club in Watts on Monday, with assistance from the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation and other corporate partners.

More than 1,000 children between the ages of 7 to 18 use the center.

The refurbishment includes newly stocked books and computers for the library. The teen center and game room received new furniture, video games with consoles, game tables and televisions. The gym was updated with new wall padding and flooring enhancements.

The Clippers' point guard started the CP3 Foundation in 2005 in honor of his late grandfather to provide scholarships for high school graduates to attend Wake Forest University.

There will be a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and a tour of the facility following a news conference from 3-4 p.m. featuring Paul and his family, Willowbrook Boys Girls Club Director Chantez Moore and local city officials.
