BRIEF: No injuries reported in chlorine leak at Gold Coast hotel

Dec. 21--No injuries were reported when a chlorine tank leaked at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Gold Coast neighborhood early Monday, officials said.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at 120 E. Delaware Place, according to a statement from the Chicago Fire Department.

The leak was contained to one room inside the hotel, but an emergency medical services plan was called as a precaution, sending six ambulances to the scene, officials said. Fire officials said no one was evacuated from the hotel.

Fewer than a dozen people stood under the hotel's awning early Monday, hiding from the rain while they watched firefighters and paramedics go in and out of the building.

Police squad cars blocked off a strip of Delaware Place between Rush Street and Michigan Avenue to cars.
