July 14--Two children were found alone in an alley in the Lakeview neighborhood late Monday, according to police.
A passer-by saw a 5-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy in the 800 block of West Newport Avenue about 11:45 p.m. Monday, police said.
They were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition.
Their father was located, and the Department of Children and Family Services was notified, according to police.
As of Tuesday morning, no one had been charged, police said.
