BRIEF: Chicagoans can order 'Little Nero's Pizza' to celebrate 'Home Alone' anniversary

Nov. 06--Hungry for nostalgia?

Chicago fans of "Home Alone" can order a personal cheese pizza from "Little Nero's Pizza," the pizza place featured in the 1990 movie that was filmed in Winnetka. The pizza, which will be delivered in a "Little Nero's" box, is available from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday through the UberEATS option in the Uber app.

Uber partnered with Big G's Pizza in Wrigleyville for the promotion, which is also available in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The offer is one of a few celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the film, which was written by longtime North Shore resident John Hughes. The movie, which stars Macaulay Culkin as an 8-year-old accidentally left home by his parents during the holidays, is slated to be screened Sunday and Wednesday in Chicago-area theaters.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to play John Williams' score live to accompany screenings of the movie next month.

(This story has been updated to reflect a timing change in pizza availability, which is now 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)
