BRIEF: 2 from Chicago area compete Friday in 'Jeopardy' Tournament of Champions

Nov. 13--Six-time "Jeopardy" winner Alex Jacob and three-day champion Michael Bilow, who grew up in Highland Park, will return to the quiz show Friday for the Tournament of Champions.

Jacob, a Chicago currency trader and former professional poker player, went on a six-day "Jeopardy" win streak in April that earned him $149,802. He lost after confusing Instagram with Twitter during Final Jeopardy.

Jacob, 31, has been tweeting about the tournament under his handle @whoisalexjacob.

He is slated to compete against Bilow, a Deerfield High School graduate who won $96,000 in the spring and now lives in California, and five-day champion Scott Lord in Friday's episode to advance in the annual tournament.

The overall tournament winner gets $250,000.

"Jeopardy," which is in its 32nd season, airs on ABC at 3:30 p.m.
