BRIEF: Chicago Symphony Orchestra to perform at 'Home Alone' screenings

Nov. 03--The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform John Williams' score live to accompany three showings of "Home Alone" next month to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary.

The movie, which was filmed in Winnetka, will be screened at 7 p.m. Dec. 11, 3 p.m. Dec. 12 and 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan Ave. Tickets are available at cso.org.

Film Concerts Live is hosting the special screenings, which are also taking place in Milwaukee and Cincinnati. In the movie, Macaulay Culkin stars as 8-year-old Kevin McCallister, who's accidentally left home alone by his parents for the holidays.

"Home Alone," which was written by longtime North Shore resident John Hughes, will also be screened at local theaters Sunday and Nov. 11.
