BRIEF: Chicago Shakespeare announces 'The Heir Apparent' cast

Oct. 16--Chicago Shakespeare Theater has announced the full cast for David Ives' comedy "The Heir Apparent."

Based on Jean-Francois Regnard's "Le Legataire universel," "The Heir Apparent" is an off-color update on the tale of a young man one who is one dead uncle away from inheriting a fortune. John Rando will direct.

The play will feature Paxton Whitehead as the uncle Geronte, Nate Burger as the young nephew Eraste and Emily Peterson as Eraste's fiancee Isabelle, along with Linda Kimbrough, Jessie Fisher, Cliff Saunders and Patrick Kerr.

"The Heir Apparent" runs Nov. 29 -- Jan. 17 at Chicago Shakespeare's Courtyard Theater on Navy Pier.
