BRIEF: Chicago performer eliminated again from 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

March 29--RuPaul likely won't be calling Boystown entertainer Naysha Lopez again to return to "RuPaul's Drag Race."

Lopez, who lives on the Northwest Side, was eliminated from the show in Monday's episode for the second time this season after her wig fell off during her lip-sync performance of Blondie's "Call Me." Lopez landed in the bottom two after the judges criticized her group's outfits in a challenge to channel 80's new wave girl bands.

"This is a second opportunity that I was given, and I made the best of it, and I know that I can walk away from this knowing that I gave 110 percent," Lopez said after the elimination.

RuPaul called Lopez, whose birth name is Fabian Rodriguez, after she was cut from the eighth season premiere and invited her to return to the show.

"Your beauty and your booty did double duty this season," RuPaul told Lopez in Monday's episode.

Andersonville resident Kim Chi is among the remaining eight performers vying for the $100,000 prize on "RuPaul's Drag Race," which airs 8 p.m. Mondays on the Logo network.
