Dec. 19--A 28-year-old Chicago man was shot to death in west suburban Montgomery Thursday evening, police said.
Montgomery police responded to the intersection of Montgomery Road and Fourth Street after getting calls about shots fired in the area around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to a statement from the Montgomery Police Department.
Jesus Garcia Jr., of the 4700 block of North Kildare Avenue, was found lying on the street by officers. He was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.
No one is in custody after officials conducted "an exhaustive search of the area," according to the statement.
