May 24--A Chicago man who robbed a woman at knifepoint in Skokie last year has been sentenced to five years in prison, authorities said.
Authorities said a female acquaintance of Don Sacluti had agreed to give him a ride but, as the two rode down Knox Avenue in Skokie, he pulled out a knife and demanded money. When the victim jumped out of the car, Sacluti took her purse and fled. He was arrested a short time later and charged with armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping.
On May 20, Sacluti, 36, pleaded guilty to armed robbery in the case, authorities said. In addition to his prison sentence, he was ordered to pay fees and fines of $800.
