BRIEF: Chicago man, 22, dies of injuries from June crash

Sept. 11--A man died Wednesday after being injured in a June car crash in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Alexis Toledo-Dejesus, 22, was hurt in a crash in the 2700 block of West Belmont Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Toledo-Dejesus, of the 2400 block of West Touhy Avenue, was pronounced dead at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday while in hospice care. His autopsy showed he died of complications from a traumatic brain injury due to a vehicular collision, according to the medical examiner's office.

The medical examiner's office could not provide the exact day of the car crash.

No other details about the incident were immediately available early Friday morning.
