BRIEF: Chicago-area native Jessy Schram lands role on 'Nashville'

Oct. 28--Skokie native Jessy Schram, who starred in "Falling Skies," has earned a recurring role on ABC's "Nashville," Deadline reported Wednesday.

Schram, 29, will play Cash Gray, "a singer songwriter who is just starting to come into her own, having co-written a few songs with (country singer) Kacey Musgraves," according to Deadline. "Nashville," which airs Wednesdays, follows the drama of country music stars.

Schram confirmed the news on Twitter Wednesday. An alumna of Buffalo Grove High School, Schram has appeared on the NBC crime show "Life," the ABC military drama "Last Resort" and the TNT science-fiction show "Falling Skies."

She also starred in the Hallmark Channel movie "Harvest Moon," which premiered earlier this month.
