BRIEF: Cheap Trick to play Metro on Cheap Trick Day

Feb. 22--Cheap Trick is scheduled to play a show at Metro on April 1, which the Illinois General Assembly declared in 2007 to be Cheap Trick Day.

Tickets are slated to go on sale for the 7 p.m. show at noon Friday via etix.com, the band announced Monday.

The Rockford band is slated to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame April 8 in New York.

The band is also scheduled to play a show July 19 at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.
