BRIEF: Charges filed in West Pullman shooting

Aug. 05--A 20-year-old man is facing aggravated battery charges after a shooting earlier this week on the Far South Side.

Juvone Steele, 20, is charged with shooting another man in the 12200 block of South Normal Avenue in the West Pullman neighborhood around 4 p.m. Monday.

The victim, also 20, was grazed in the head and wounded in the right leg. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in fair condition, police said.

Steele, of the 11200 block of South Normal Avenue, is set to appear at the Leighton Criminal Court Building on Wednesday afternoon for a bond hearing.
