BRIEF: Changes to Bulls' court design harks back to 'Jordan-glory days look'

Dec. 16--The Bulls made some minor modifications to their court surface at the United Center for the 2015-16 season.

The Bulls logo at center court is much larger and the basketball image behind it has been replaced by a simple circle. The typography on the sideline and at the baselines has changed from a serif to a slab serif. The linework around the three-point arc and inside the key is now all black, and the four stars from the Chicago flag were added to the near sideline.

What does Tom O'Grady think of the changes? He gives it a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest. "The good? It resembles the Jordan-glory days look. The not so good? Removing the orange ball behind center court, and the Chicago flag stars are way 'too easy' of a brand extension idea."
