BRIEF: Chance the Rapper, Common tapped for 'Hamilton' mixtape

March 02--South Side rappers Common and Chance the Rapper have been tapped to record tracks for the "The Hamilton Mixtape," which will feature remixes and covers of the Broadway musical's soundtrack, BroadwayWorld.com reports.

Busta Rhymes, Ben Folds, Regina Spektor and Queen Latifah are also tied to the project, due out later this year. "Hamilton" creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda said he won't be contributing a track because "the goal is to keep this inspired by the original."

The Alexander Hamilton musical is scheduled to begin its extended run in Chicago at the PrivateBank Theatre, formerly the Bank of America Theatre, Sept. 27.
