BRIEF: Cavaliers rule out Kevin Love for Eastern Conference semifinals

April 28--If the Bulls dispatch the Bucks and advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals, they will face a Cavaliers team missing injured forward Kevin Love for the entire series.

The Cavaliers announced Monday that Love sustained a left shoulder dislocation during the first quarter of Sunday's victory over the Celtics. After an evaluation that included X-rays and an MRI, it was determined that Love suffered "an acute anterior inferior glenohumeral dislocation with the corresponding ligament/labrum tearing and humeral head bone bruising," the team said.

Love will undergo treatment but will miss the entire semifinal series, and his status beyond that will be determined over the next several days, the team said.

Additionally, Cavaliers starter J.R. Smith is facing a likely suspension after he was ejected for swinging a clenched fist and hitting the Celtics' Jae Crowder in the jaw Sunday.
