Dec. 07--Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced casting for "Mary Page Marlowe," a world premiere play written by ensemble member Tracy Letts.

Carrie Coon, known from "Gone Girl" and HBO's "The Leftovers," will be joined by Lindsay Crouse, Laura T. Fisher, Caroline Heffernan, Annie Munch and Rebecca Spence to play Mary Page Marlowe over the course of 67 years.

The cast also features ensemble members Ian Barford as Ray and Alan Wilder as Andy, along with Stephen Cefalu, Jr. as Ed Marlowe, Amanda Drinkall as Roberta Marlowe, Jack Edwards as Louis, Kirsten Fitzgerald as Shrink, Keith Gallagher as Ben, Sandra Marquez as Nurse, Madeline Weinstein as Wendy Gilbert and Gary Wilmes as Dan. The remaining roles of the 19-member cast have yet to be announced.

As previously announced, artistic director Anna D. Shapiro will direct Letts' new play about the seemingly prosaic life of an Ohio accountant. Letts and Shapiro last teamed up for "The Three Sisters" at Steppenwolf and the Tony Award and Pulitzer-Prize winning "August: Osage County."

"Mary Page Marlowe" runs March 31 -- May 29 in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St.
