BRIEF: Caroline Wozniacki loses underwear deal, thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo

Jan. 05--Caroline Wozniacki won't be posing in her underwear anymore. At least not for the Danish company JBS, which signed the former world No. 1 tennis player to a lucrative and ultimately successful deal in 2012.

But Cristiano Ronaldo will continue posing in his unmentionables for JBS -- apparently a lot more.

The Real Madrid star's line, which debuted in 2013, has proven to be so much more successful than anyone imagined that the company that touts itself as "Denmark's largest and leading underwear manufacturer" will focus a lot more attention and resources on it.

And, it seems, nothing is left for Wozniacki, who has been dropped by JBS.

"We had hoped to grab a market, but the impact of CR7 has been far, far greater than we dared dream of. So it is best for the company to stop working with Caroline Wozniacki," JBS director Morten Alstrup told Scandanavian newspaper Ekstra Blade.

Alstrup went on to (unintentionally, of course) rub salt in the wound of Wozniacki.

"Caroline Wozniacki is one of the reasons that we have got hold of Cristiano Ronaldo," Alstrup said. "He had seen how Caroline dared to be pictured in only her underwear that we had made for her, and he liked it."
