April 29--A car crashed into a beam supporting a popular Near North Side restaurant Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Two cars crashed about 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Erie and LaSalle streets outside Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse, 661 N. LaSalle St.
"One of the vehicles crashed into a structural beam outside of the restaurant,'' said Officer Bari Lemmon, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department.
Lemmon said only minor injuries were reported, but the city's building inspector was asked to check the building to make sure it is sound.
