Dec. 26--A 61-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash in south suburban Chicago Heights near her home Thursday evening, authorities said.
The accident happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of Western Avenue and Lincoln Highway, according to a dispatcher for Chicago Heights.
Sandra Jsaatkamp was pronounced dead at 6:58 p.m. on the scene of the accident less than a mile from her residence in the 600 block of West 15th Street in Chicago Heights, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
No other people were reportedly injured, the dispatcher said.
No other information about the incident was available.
