BRIEF: Cantina 1910 has a new chef

March 15--Three months after the abrupt departure of Diana Davila, Cantina 1910 (5025 N. Clark St.) has a new executive chef.

Scott Shulman, whose resume includes cooking at Hatfield's and Melisse in Los Angeles, has joined the team.

Cantina 1910 was one of the best new Chicago restaurants to open last year, but three months after its opening, founding chef Davila resigned, citing irreconcilable differences with owners Mark Robertson and Mike Sullivan.
