BRIEF: Buzz Bait Taqueria now open in Old Town

Aug. 21--Buzz Bait Taqueria, a fish-taco restaurant developed by Lou Malnati's Pizzeria owner Marc Malnati and Kamehachi owner Giulia Sindler, quietly opened this afternoon in Old Town.

A fast-casual concept, Buzz Bait (1529 N. Wells St., 312-664-2899) will offer seven tacos, including Sapporo-beer-battered cod with mango (Malnati's fave) and slow-smoked glazed salmon. The menu includes one vegetarian taco, various sides and desserts and a drink menu that includes signature Margaritas and wine by the glass.

There are 30 indoor seats and a 16-seat outdoor patio.

Hours for Buzz Bait Taqueria will be limited in the first week; when regular hours launch, the restaurant will open at 4 p.m. daily, except for Tuesday, when it's closed.
