Dec. 24--Residences in a handful of Lakeview blocks have been burglarized in the past month, police warned Thursday.
Burglars forced open back doors or came in through unlocked windows to gain access, according to a news release from Chicago police.
The burglaries occurred:
Dec. 10 between 8:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. in the 800 block of West Roscoe Street
Dec. 11 or 12 between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West Roscoe Street
Dec. 16 between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 800 block of West Newport Avenue
Dec. 17 between 8:45 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. in the 900 block of West Newport Avenue
In the most recent incident, witnesses described the burglars as black males, one in a gray hoodie and a gray hat and the other wearing a dark blue jacket.
