BRIEF: Burger King closes in La Crescenta

Feb. 13--After operating for 30 years in La Crescenta, Burger King's last day of business at 3517 Foothill Blvd., was Friday, according to a letter that staff addressed to customers and posted on the restaurant's drive-through window.

"It's with deep sadness that we inform you of our closing at this location," the note stated. "We were unable to extend our lease."

The letter thanked "everyone in the community for their support" over the last three decades, and noted that some staff members would be relocated to the Burger King on Eagle Rock Boulevard in Eagle Rock.
