BRIEF: Burbank police officer ejected from motorcycle in collision

Feb. 04--An on-duty Burbank police officer was ejected from his motorcycle early Thursday morning after he was struck by a car in downtown Burbank, police said.

Around 6:20 a.m., the officer was was heading north on Third Street when he collided with a Honda Accord turning left onto Harvard Road, said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

The officer was reportedly taken to a hospital with minor injuries and will likely be released later today.

The driver, an 82-year-old woman who was not injured, was questioned at the scene. Police did not issue a citation and don't suspect drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
