July 27--We're still waiting for Bunny the Micro Bakery and WunderPop, the long-anticipated 12-seat bakery and revolving-chef restaurant from Iliana Regan, to open (we're told that construction and zoning issues are holding things up), but impatient fans can get a sneak preview of both concepts next week.
Regan will create pop-up versions of both concepts Sunday, Aug. 2, and Monday, Aug. 3, at her restaurant, Elizabeth (4835 N. Western Ave.). The Bunny pop-up will run 9 a.m to 2 p.m both days; WunderPop will run 6:30-11 p.m.
Both pop-ups will be walk-in only, cash only.
The Bunny pop-up will serve doughnuts, toast, bread loaves and housemade butter, eggs, sausage and pierogi. WunderPop will feature a preview of its initial ramen menu, combining housemade noodles with a variety of toppings. Drinks and a few desserts also will be available.
Monday night, restaurant-industry workers will get a 20 percent discount on ramen, drinks and buckets of beer.
