Dec. 11--Neither Joakim Noah nor Doug McDermott practiced Thursday, and the Chicago Bulls ruled both players out for Friday's home game against the Trail Blazers.
Noah will miss his second straight game with soreness in his right ankle and because the Bulls continue to be cautious with his surgically-repaired left knee. McDermott, whose role had decreased significantly before his injury, is out for a fifth straight time.
Noah said before Wednesday's home game against the Nets that the plan as of then was for him to accompany the team on its two-game trip to Miami and Atlanta that begins with Sunday's game against the Heat.
Coach Tom Thibodeau called both players day-to-day.
