May 21--Pau Gasol's rejuvenating season has produced some honors.
Gasol landed on the All-NBA second team Thursday, capping a strong first season with the Bulls in which he averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds and led the NBA in double-doubles.
Gasol's scoring average marked his highest since 2010-11 with the Lakers and his rebounding average was a career-best. Gasol's 54 double-doubles, six more than runner-up Andre Drummond, also marked a career-high.
The honor capped quite the season for the Gasol family. Brother Marc earned first-team All-NBA status. The brothers were voted starting centers in the All-Star game.
LeBron James, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Stephen Curry joined Marc Gasol on the first team. LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMarcus Cousins, Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul rounded out the second team with Pau Gasol.
Jimmy Butler with 32 points and Joakim Noah with two were the only other Bulls to draw votes. Pau Gasol drew 15 first-team votes, well behind his brother's 65.
