Jan. 27--Nikola Mirotic's season with the Chicago Bulls has been a roller-coaster ride of hot and cold shooting streaks, but the Montenegro, Yugoslavia, native will put his talents on display during the NBA's All-Star weekend in February in Toronto.
The NBA announced Wednesday that for the second consecutive year, Mirotic was selected to play for the World Team during the Rising Stars Challenge to be held Feb. 12 at Air Canada Centre. The event pits 10 first- and second-year NBA players from the United States against 10 first- and second-year players from around the world.
The 24-year-old Mirotic is averaging 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season for the Bulls, who will kick off a seven-game road trip against the Lakers on Thursday night in Los Angeles.
