Nov. 17--The Bulls held off the Pacers 96-95 Monday night at the United Center.
Derrick Rose scored 23 points, but left with a sprained left ankle in the fourth quarter. Jimmy Butler had 17 points and blocked a shot by Paul George at the buzzer.
Fred Hoiberg started Tony Snell at forward in place of Doug McDermott to try to keep pace with the Pacers.
The Pacers got 26 points from George. Monta Ellis had 20 and C.J. Miles 19.
The turning point
Butler's rejection of George's shot preserved the win for the Bulls and snapped the Pacers' three-game winning streak. "I don't think there was a foul," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said. "He just made a good defensive play."
Tribune player of the game
Butler was stellar at both ends of the floor. He had two steals to go with the blocked shot.
