Oct. 28--The Bulls and Cavaliers began the 2015-16 season where the 2014-15 season ended, with the teams widely considered the Eastern Conference favorites.
No wonder President Barack Obama, in town for, you know, presidential business, planned to stop by the United Center on Tuesday.
"It was nice of him to come for my debut," cracked first-year Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg.
The Bulls started Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Tony Snell, Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol. With Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert injured, the Cavaliers started Mo Williams, J.R. Smith, Timofey Mozgov, LeBron James and Kevin Love.
Hoiberg said Rose would be monitored closely, particularly early, for his conditioning level after missing almost all of training camp for a fractured left orbital bone.
