May 14--Bulls vice president/basketball operations John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman are among the NBA execs and scouts front and center for Thursday's NBA Draft Combine in Chicago's Quest Multi-sport Complex.
"It is always great to get all of these young prospects in one place," Paxson said. "Everyone has done their work throughout the year, which you have to do. But it is always good to eye-ball them again and see what they've got.
"Obviously this year they have changed the format a little bit (with 5-on-5 scrimmages in addition to the drills). Some guys are going to platy, but not everyone. So that is an issue. It's always good."
Paxson acknowledged that the assemblage of representatives from all of the NBA teams could provide an opportunity for trade dialogue down the road.
"You run into some people that maybe spark a conversation, so this is always helpful," he said.
