BRIEF: Buddy Guy to anchor tour to honor Jimi Hendrix

Oct. 27--Buddy Guy will help anchor a 27-date tour to honor the late guitarist Jimi Hendrix, tour representatives announced Tuesday.

The 2016 Experience Hendrix Tour, which also includes performances by Hendrix bassist Billy Cox and Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde, will stop at the Chicago Theatre on March 12. Tickets, which cost between $38 and $98, go on sale Friday, according to the tour website.

Hendrix died in 1970. Experience Hendrix tribute events began in 1995 and have featured Guy, a Chicago blues legend, in the past. The 2016 tour kicks off in Florida in February.
