BRIEF: BTN unveils football promo videos, but where's Illinois?

Sept. 02--Ohio State coach Urban Meyer polishes his trophy. Purdue coach Darrell Hazell plays with a model train. Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst jumps around.

Every Big Ten team is represented in a new Big Ten Network promotion with all the coaches doing something silly.

Every team, that is, except Illinois.

Tim Beckman's firing a week before the season kicks off Friday against Kent State left Illinois out of the early rotation.

But Illinois will be represented with a branding spot that will air for the first time during its game Friday night and will then be included in the regular rotation, a Big Ten Network representative said.

Michigan and Minnesota promos will air Thursday night on the Big Ten Network as the college football season kicks off and the rest of the teams will have their promos air throughout the weekend into Monday, when Ohio State plays at Virginia Tech.
