BRIEF: Broadway cast of 'Airline Highway' announced

Feb. 26--Casting was announced on Thursday for the Broadway production of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's "Airline Highway," which ended its Chicago run on Valentine's Day.

Lisa D'Amour's new drama with direction by Joe Mantello begins performances this spring at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

Notably, the Tony Award-winning actress Julie White will play Tanya, a central role that was originated in Chicago by Kate Buddeke. Also, new to the Broadway production are actors Ken Marks and Joe Tippett, playing Francis and Bait Boy respectively.

Returning from the Steppenwolf run are Scott Jaeck, Caroline Neff, Carolyn Braver, K. Todd Freeman, Judith Roberts and Tim Edward Rhoze.

The 16-person ensemble will be announced later.

"Airline Highway" begins performances at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, 261 W. 47th St. in New York, on April 1. Opening night is set for April 23.
