Oct. 14--Great Value Vacations is offering a reasonably priced five-night winter getaway to Iceland that includes airfare from Los Angeles International Airport. Highlights include a guided tour of the Golden Circle, an experience that links three of Iceland's most popular destinations: Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir geothermal area. An evening hunt for the Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, is also included. Three full days are on your own, giving travelers plenty of time to explore the capital city of Reykjavik and surrounding areas.
