May 20--Brad Zimmerman's part-stand-up, part-theater production "My Son the Waiter: A Jewish Tragedy" is coming to Chicago.
In the 90-minute show, Zimmerman, who worked as a waiter for 29 years, tells his front-of-house horror stories and the journey that eventually lead to opening for Joan Rivers. The production played two years off-Broadway at Stage 72 at the Triad Theatre and has toured to venues throughout the country.
"My Son the Waiter: A Jewish Tragedy" plays July 7-31 at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Blvd., Skokie.
