Jan. 20--A 15-year-old boy has been charged with robbing two young teens and a man at gunpoint in the Near West Side neighborhood last weekend.
The teens, 15 and 16, and the 35-year-old man were walking in the 100 block of South Western Avenue around 9 p.m. Sunday when the boy approached and pulled out a gun, police said.
The boy robbed the victims and fled. He was later identified and arrested, police said.
The boy, who lives in the 2000 block of West Washington Boulevard, was charged as a juvenile Wednesday with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm, police said. His name was not released due to his age.
He was scheduled to appear Wednesday morning in Juvenile Court.
