BRIEF: Boy, 13, went missing on Northwest Side

Jan. 28--A 13-year-old boy went missing five days ago on the Northwest Side in the city's Albany Park neighborhood, police said.

Kalvin Howell was last seen Jan. 23 in the area of Lawrence and Avers avenues. He was wearing a black hat and a blue winter coat, police said.

Kalvin is known to frequent the area between Montrose Avenue and Lawrence from Kedzie Avenue to Pulaski Road.

He is described as a black-Hispanic boy, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet tall and about 100 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8200.
