April 24--A 12-year-old boy was stabbed after he got in the middle of a domestic fight Saturday evening in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.
Around 10:50 p.m., a female, whose age was not available, stabbed the boy with a knife while trying to stab her male partner inside a home in the 3700 block of North Sawyer Avenue, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman.
The boy was stabbed in the stomach and the back. He was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Zala said.
No one was immediately in custody, and no other information was available.
