Jan. 22--A 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a CTA bus Wednesday evening in the Gresham neighborhood on the city's South Side.
About 7:25 p.m., the boy was in the 1400 block of West 79th Street walking a dog. At some point the dog went into the street, and the boy ran into the street after it, police said.
The boy was hit by a CTA bus heading east on 79th. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
