BRIEF: Bourbon County Stout to be sold at Blackhawks, Bulls games

April 17--Here's another reason to root for a long Bulls or Blackhawks playoff run: Goose Island's family of Bourbon County beers will be available at the United Center as long as either team is still playing this spring.

Beginning with Saturday's 6 p.m. Bulls game against the Milwaukee Bucks, the 2014 version of Bourbon County Stout will be on draft in the Goose Island Brew Pub.

As each team progresses through another round of the playoffs, a new variant from Goose's heralded Bourbon County family will be tapped. Goose Island says the following beers will be served: First Round, Bourbon County Stout; Second Round, Bourbon County Coffee; Third Round, Bourbon County Vanilla Rye; Finals, Bourbon County Proprietor's. Bourbon County beers are brewed annually and released to long lines on the day after Thanksgiving and sell out quickly.

Bourbon County beers at the United Center will of course get stadium pricing: $15 for a 5-ounce pour. But fans are free to take the beer back to their seats while hoping this is the season the Bulls can finally get past LeBron and the Hawks have a Stanley Cup hat trick in them.
