Oct. 27--Perhaps actress Carla Gallo of "Bones" fame liked the bones of this home in the Larchmont neighborhood because she just bought the authentic Craftsman for $1.775 million, public records show.
Shaded by mature trees, the 1914 two-story house has the front porch, interior woodwork and built-ins that are signatures of the style. A living room with a decorative fireplace, a family room/office, a dining room with French doors, an updated kitchen and a breakfast area with a bay window are among the rooms.
The 2,296 square feet of living space includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
A quaint guesthouse with a three-quarter bathroom adds another 200 square feet of living space. There's also a two-car garage with built-in storage.
The backyard has a saltwater swimming pool and a spa with a fountain.
Gallo, 40, has been on "Bones" since 2008. She was in the 2014 film "Neighbors" and "Californication" (2008-09).
The actress recently listed another vintage home, a 1931 Spanish-style bungalow in the Sawtelle area, for $885,000.
Heidi Davis of Keller Williams handled her purchase and is her listing agent.
