BRIEF: Body recovered from Lake Michigan near Chicago Avenue

July 21--Emergency crews pulled a man's body out of Lake Michigan near Chicago Avenue early Tuesday, according to police.

Someone on the lakefront path called 911 to report a person floating in the water about 6:35 a.m., according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.

The Chicago police and fire departments responded.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation. The man was in his 40s or 50s, police said.
