BRIEF: Body pulled from Chicago River near Columbus Drive

May 03--The Chicago Police Marine Unit was called Tuesday morning to remove a body floating in the Chicago River near Columbus Drive.

According to Chicago Fire Department Media information, crews responded shortly after 10:30 a.m. for a report of a person in the river near Wacker and Columbus drives.

When it was determined that the person was dead, the Marine Unit was called to recover the body.

The body appears to be an adult male, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
